President signs new tax law
September 18, 2013
President Bronislaw Komorowski signed an updated tax law and fiscal control law on Tuesday, the Presidential Chancellery said.
The new laws will streamline tax information exchange between Poland and other EU countries.
The new regulations implement the EU directive on administrative cooperation in the field of taxation.
Poland has been exchanging tax information with other EU member states since 2004. The changes do not directly affect Polish tax payers, according to the Finance Ministry, but should facilitate tax collection among EU members.
