Daria Widawska and Piotr Grabowski
Warsaw’s Capitol Theater, which is celebrating its fifth anniversary this year, will begin the new season with a premiere, on Sept 21, of an intriguing criminal comedy entitled “Desperate Affection” by an American playwirigth Bruce Graham.
The story is about Maddie, an actress in late thirties, who specializes in commercials for household products. Happy because she's been dating a great guy, Richard, for the last few months, she is also nervous, sure that he must have a fatal flaw soon to be revealed. Richard is good looking, successful and loving, though a bit too clean. He likes cleaning up not without a reason. Maddie will soon have to choose between reason and love.
Graham has presented, in a sensational and entertaining way, how many strange situations we can find ourselves in and how much we can give up in the name of true love. Starring in the play are two great Polish actors - Daria Widawska and Piotr Grabowski.
The Capitol Theater is one of the most popular private theaters in Warsaw. It was established by an actress Anna Gornostaj and her husband Stanislaw Maczynski in 2008. Since then Capitol has staged fifty premieres.
