Ruling party PO support up though rival PiS still leads - poll

Polish ruling party, the liberal Civic Platform (PO) enjoyed a 4 pps increase in its voter support to 24% in the latest September survey by Homo Homini researcher, with backing for its major rival and poll leader, conservative Law and Justice (PiS) slipping by 1 ppt to 30%.
Voter support for left-wing party Democratic Left Alliance (SLD) declined by 2 pps to 13%, according to the poll.
Junior coalition partner Polish People’s Party (PSL) and the liberal Palikot Movement (RP) saw their support at 5% of the electorate, in line with the 5% threshold required to enter the parliament, the survey showed.
The poll was conducted on September 20-21 on a representative sample of 1,100 Poles.
