Labor market shows signs of revival in Q2 – central bank
October 1, 2013
Poland's labor market is showing some signs of improvement, judging from the number of non-subsidized job offers in July, although the durability of trend reversal leaves doubt, central bank NBP said in a report on labor market in Q2.
"Even though demand for work in Q2 2013 remained at a low level, July showed some signs of recovery," the report shows. "The registered increase of job offers sent to state job agencies regarded mainly in the 'market' [not subsidized by the state] part."
"However, the latest estimates of Labor Ministry regarding the number of vacancies call for moderation in assessing the durability of the observed changes and tendencies," NBP researchers wrote.
