Fans who missed out on Gogol Bordello’s gigs in Poland two years ago will be happy to know the band is coming back— they will be playing two concerts in Warsaw and Wroc³aw in June.

Gogol Bordello was formed in New York in the late 1990s by an unusual group of musicians. The lineup reflects the extraordinary music they play: a blend of Gypsy punk rock, reggae, folk and oriental sounds.

The band members are eight immigrants from Eastern Europe, Israel, Ethiopia and Ecuador. The frontman is Ukrainian-born Eugene Hütz, whose family emigrated to the United States after the nuclear meltdown in Chernobyl. On their way, the family spent some time living in Poland.

Hütz’s fond memories of his time here keep drawing him back, allowing him to establish a great rapport with Polish audiences during Gogol Bordello concerts.
