When in Warsaw, why not stop by the Halka restaurant on Pańska Street to find a quiet refuge from the big-city hustle and bustle. We are very close to the city center, but away from the city’s main streets. The venue’s interesting history, the restaurant’s beautiful interiors and the unforgettable flavor of Polish dishes will make you forget your problems and just savor the moment.

The restaurant is located at 85 Pańska St., on the western end of the street, where beautiful town houses from before World War II have survived to this day. The house at 85 Pańska St., known as Herszlik Duński House, “played” 25 Złota St. in the legendary Polish television serial Dom (The House).

The Halka restaurant consists of three charming rooms named the Łowicka (after the town of Łowicz, famous for its folk arts), the Kredensowa (Cupboard) room and the Witrażowa (Stained-Glass Window) room, whose decor lives up to their names. When it’s warm, our guests are welcomed to our beautiful summer patio, adorned with colorful flowers and plants and overlooked by wall with hand-painted ornamentation. Located in the back yard, the patio will separate you off from the noise of the city and its busy streets.

The Halka restaurant specializes in traditional Polish cuisine with a touch of modernity at its best. Every meal we serve is a tasteful and delightful visual experience. Every day, we select only the best fresh ingredients for delicious and aromatic dishes.

When at Halka, check out our potato pie with bacon, onion, ham and sausage, a delicious salad with baked liver, prunes, fig vinaigrette and grenadine, or our homemade pierogis with meat or spinach and with gorgonzola dressing. We also have duck confit poached in goose fat. For dessert, you can try drop scones with caramelized plum sauce or our chocolate soufflé with a filling of liquid chocolate. All the delicacies are prepared with great care and using only fresh ingredients. Here at Halka, we use no preservatives, enhancers or ready products. We prepare our dishes slowly to make sure the food is tasty and healthy. We preserve the taste of real Polish cuisine.
