Jewish History Program for North American Teachers
March 27, 2013
Article's tools:

North American teachers and people working for Jewish educational institutions can now take part in a program in Warsaw focusing on Jewish heritage and the Museum of the History of Polish Jews, which is under construction in the Polish capital.

People involved in Jewish heritage education and those who bring groups to tour Poland are especially encouraged to apply for this summer seminar program.

The program will take place in two one-week sections in July and August. In each section, 20 North American educators and 10 Polish educators will collaborate on the development of visitor access-points and curricular materials especially for North American visitors.

The program includes workshops, lectures and discussions as well as a presentation of the museum’s future exhibitions and galleries. There will also be tours of historic Jewish sites in Warsaw and a visit to the site of the former death camp in Treblinka.

For more information, contact Senior Education Specialist Katarzyna Kulińska: kkulinska@jewishmuseum.org.pl or visit the museum’s website: www.jewishmuseum.org.pl (tab: Education)
