Polish photographer abducted in Syria still alive
October 7, 2013
A Polish photographer who was kidnapped in Syria three months ago is still alive, Poland's foreign minister Radoslaw Sikorski said on Saturday.
Suder, who was working for a Polish photo agency Studio Melon, was abducted in the rebel-held northern town of Saraqeb when masked gunmen stormed an opposition media office.
Sikorski told radio RMF FM that Marcin Suder was "alive" but declined to give any details about his health or whereabouts out of concern for the victim's safety.
Poland has set up a team of specialists based in Warsaw and its embassies in the Middle East to deal with Suder's case.
