Military counterintelligence chief recalled
October 10, 2013
Prime Minister Donald Tusk recalled on Tuesday head of the military counterintelligence general Janusz Nosek, the Government Information Centre (CIR) said on Wednesday.
Last month the Minister of Defense Tomasz Siemoniak filed a motion for Nosek’s dismissal. It was later approved by the president and the Sejm lower house committee for special services.
According to earlier media reports, general Nosek has been in conflict with deputy defense minister General Waldemar Skrzypczak responsible for arms and military equipment purchases.
The Defense Ministry refused to disclose the causes of Nosek's dismissal.
