Polish HICP inflation remains flat in September - Eurostat
October 17, 2013
Poland's harmonized annual HICP inflation measured 0.9% year on year again in September, flat from both August and July readings, Eurostat said in a statement.
Month on month, prices were up by 0.1%, the statement shows.
HICP is used to determine countries' compliance with Maastricht treaty inflation criteria, necessary for euro adoption. The maximum allowed inflation is set at 1.5 pp above the level of three-year average of countries with the lowest result in the EU.
Based on the Polish price basket, Poland's Central Statistical Office (GUS) calculated September inflation at 1.0% y/y and 0.1% m/m, the data published on Tuesday showed.
