Polish firms to get EUR 12.5bn of EU support
October 23, 2013
Polish entrepreneurs may receive a record amount of at least EUR 12.5 billion of EU funds under the new EU budget for the years 2014-2020 in all operational programs, the Regional Development Ministry said.
Some EUR 7 billion of the total is to be accessible within regional programs managed by provinces. The remaining funds will be distributed at the national level, mainly through the Innovative Development program which will replace the Innovative Economy scheme
The amount of EUR 12.5 billion for entrepreneurs is good news as prospects of getting funds will stimulate companies to plan new projects, Ernst and Young director Pawel Tynel said. However, Tynel added, in 2007-2013 perspective the means initially promised to entrepreneurs were in fact substantially reduced.
