More Poles switch to self-employment contracts
October 29, 2013
The number of firm registrations in Poland continues to rise with 275,000 companies registered in the first three quarters of 2013, up by 12% year on year according to business information center COIG data.
Still, such an increase is rather the effect of economic slowdown as many Poles are forced to switch to self-employment contracts in order to keep their jobs, COIG head Jaroslaw Nawrotek told the daily Puls Biznesu.
Single employee firms accounted for 245,000 of the 275,000 sum.
