Australian businessman Peter Brown chats with Jolanta Wolska.

What brings you to Warsaw?
I came with my partner to visit her family, also to rediscover my roots as my father was Polish.

What impressed you about Warsaw?
Polish hospitality. It is absolutely fantastic and the people are very warm and friendly. I also love the Polish temperament. I was impressed how beautiful Polish women are – with style and poise.

What did you find interesting?
That people interact with each other positively. They are integrating within their own culture, of which history seems to be the base. There is fluency in Warsaw with a vibrant expectation.

I love the old architectural style capturing the history and try to imagine how Warsaw must have looked before the war. I feel the people have a strong sense of unification and a passion to be Polish.

What surprised you?
I was surprised how cheap everything is. The food is great and I was amazed how big the meals are. The restaurants served quality food, but the street food like Polish hot dogs are the best I have ever eaten. Of course, I love pierogi.

Are you planning to come back?
Yes, I want to come back soon as I really enjoyed Warsaw but I didn’t have enough time to see everything. My business is set up using cloud-based technology so I can work remotely anywhere in the world allowing the opportunity to return to Warsaw soon.
