The Multikino cinema chain will be offering audiences across Poland high-definition live broadcasts from the world’s most famous operas and ballet theaters.

Viewers will be able to experience a night at a famous opera without having to travel abroad as they watch stars performing in shows at La Scala in Milan, the Real Theater in Madrid, the Opera National in Paris, the Royal Opera House in London and other venues. The first opera to be broadcast at Multikino cinemas, in 2009, was La Traviata by Giuseppe Verdi. Multikino viewers across Poland have since seen over 50 live broadcasts and rebroacasts.

Along with opera and ballet performances, viewers can enjoy philharmonic concerts and other music shows from around the world. The most popular ones so far have included Love in Portofino, a concert by Italian opera singer Andrea Bocelli, and a show entitled Opera on Ice featuring figure skating champions.
