A state-of-the-art bus modeled on the legendary London double-decker is touring the world as part of a marketing campaign promoting British companies on foreign markets.

Officially announced by Prime Minister David Cameron in September 2011, the GREAT Britain campaign is the biggest ever integrated international campaign launched by the British government to promote Britain globally. Its primary goal is to draw inward investment to Britain and encourage more tourists to visit the country.

Cameron, together Britain’s Prince Harry, launched the world tour of the GREAT Big Red Bus in May 2013 in New York City. The tour will continue for 12 months and span four continents and 16 countries, including India, South Korea and Russia along with Austria, Poland and Hungary in Central and Eastern Europe.

The campaign aims to maximize the economic benefits created by the Olympic and Paralympic Games in 2012, showcasing the best of Britain. Funding for the campaign totals £30 million to allow it to reach markets around the world, Central and Eastern Europe included.

The GREAT Big Red Bus is coming to Poland to promote opportunities available to British companies seeking to invest in this part of Europe and also to promote Poland and Polish regions in Britain. Central and Eastern Europe is a region that offers tremendous potential, in part thanks to its relative closeness to Britain.
