Polish pupils belong to the most talented in Europe and the world, PM Donald Tusk said Tuesday at the announcement of the result of the OECD's tri-annual Program for International Student Assessment PISA tests on Polish 15-year-olds.

The 2012 PISA study comparing school learning across 65 countries around the world ranked Poland among the top EU participants.

In mathematical performance Poland ranked 4th in the EU with 518 points behind Holland, Estonia and Finland.

In the science category Poland came 3rd with 526 points behind Finland and Estonia, and also ranked 3rd in reading.
