Jerzy Osiatynski appointed to Monetary Policy Council

Polish President Bronislaw Komorowski appointed his own economic advisor Jerzy Osiatynski to replace Zyta Gilowska on the Monetary Policy Council, a statement on presidential website said.
Gilowska stepped down from the council in October.
The new member will be appointed for the full 6-year term.
Osiatynski, a professor at the Institute of Economics of the Polish Academy of Sciences (PAN), has been Komorowski's advisor since October 2010.
His scientific interests include theory of economics, history of economic thoughts of the 20th century and public finance.
