Polish President Bronislaw Komorowski sent condolences to his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin after two explosions killed over 30 people in Volgograd (formerly known as Stalingrad) in Russia on Sunday and Monday.

"I am deeply saddened by the two terrorist attacks carried out in Volgograd," the Polish president wrote. "On behalf of the Polish people and on my own behalf, I want to express words of solidarity and my sincere condolences to the families of the victims of these terrible tragedies," Komorowski wrote.
