PGE secures grid connection for future new block
December 31, 2013
PGE GiEK, a unit of power group PGE, signed an agreement with grid operator PSE for linking PGE's to-be-built combined cycle 138 MW power block in Gorzow Wielkopolski in western Poland to the power grid, PSE and PGE officials said on Monday.
The block is expected to be launched in February 2016.
PGE signed a contract to build the block with Siemens in October.
The block is to be profitable thanks to the proximity of gas giant PGNiG's LMG hydrocarbons mine.
