Polish zloty among world’s best performing currencies
December 31, 2013
The Polish zloty has recently found itself among the top five world's best performing currencies, according to end-year data from Bloomberg agency.
Since the beginning of the year the Polish zloty (PLN) gained 4.7% against the U.S. dollar. Owing to this result it has placed among the top five world's best performing currencies, the daily Puls Biznesu wrote adding that the ranking covered 32 world currencies.
Thanks to Poland's current account surplus and stabilization in the euro zone, in the last quarter the Polish zloty climbed to a two-year high to the U.S. dollar.
