More than 150 intellectuals, economists, businessmen and cultural figures from Poland and France attended a Polish-French debate on the future of Europe.

Entitled Warsaw Encounters, the event was held in November at the Royal Castle in Warsaw. The discussions were divided into five sessions that tackled the political, economic and social challenges Europe is facing.

The panelists included Poland’s environment minister, Marcin Korolec; Jean-Marie Cavada, a member of the European Parliament and the chairman of Mouvement Europeen France; former European Parliament President Jose Maria Gil-Robles; Polish senator and ex-prime minister Włodzimierz Cimoszewicz; and Paweł Kowal, a Polish eurodeputy.
