Poland to spend EUR 13.5bn on rural development program by 2020

The Polish government will spend EUR 13.5 billion on its rural areas development program (PROW) in 2014-2020, including EUR 8.6 billion coming from EU funds and EUR 4.9 billion from domestic sources, Farming Minister Stanislaw Kalemba said during a Monday press conference.

The program includes financing of investments in agriculture enterprises, support for young farmers and small farms, supporting the creation of agricultural goods producers' associations and investments in food processing industry, the minister said.
