Search for Tasty Treats
January 30, 2014
Warsaw’s best restaurants can expect to get a promotional push in a campaign encouraging tourists to dine out and sample the tasty treats on offer in the capital.
The campaign, now in its third year and called Warszawa od kuchni (Warsaw Behind Kitchen Doors), also aims to highlight what Warsaw has to offer in terms of cuisine from different parts of the world. In the campaign, restaurants are rated by food critics as well as celebrities, politicians and a number of Warsaw-based food bloggers. In addition to the look and taste of the food, the judges are looking at criteria such as menu layout, interior arrangement, and quality of service (What’s the waiting time? Are the waiters keen to help you choose your meal? Do they speak foreign languages?). Extra points can be earned for distinctive Warsaw dishes and house specials.
Restaurants with the highest scores receive a Golden Fork statuette and a promotional logo for use in advertisements.
The campaign is being run by the Warsaw Chamber of Enterprise (WIP).
