Poland to launch USD-denominated 10Y benchmark bond issue
January 17, 2014
The Polish government will launch a USD-denominated ten-year benchmark bond issue “in the near future” and has picked Barclays, Citi and Goldman Sachs as issue managers, the Finance Ministry said in a statement on Thursday.
Deputy Finance Minister Wojciech Kowalczyk said that this could be the only issue on the US market this year although at the end of 2014 Poland could reappear on this market as a part of 2015 pre-financing,
"Today's issue offer on the American market could be the only one on this market in 2014, although we do not exclude some form of our presence on the American market closer to the end of the year as a part of 2015 borrowing needs pre-financing," Kowalczyk said.
The deal is Poland’s second foreign issue this year, which "allows us to realize our 2014 plans regarding two biggest financial markets," the deputy Finance Minister added.
