Young Talent and Old Hands

Art lovers will have an opportunity to meet with young artists March 23 during the fifth Art Fresh Festival at the Sheraton hotel in Warsaw.

Like the previous four festivals, this year’s Art Fresh will highlight young talent, but this year it will also welcome experienced artists of international renown. The festival will help artists meet with art curators, dealers and collectors and anyone else who is interested in art.

Visitors to the Sheraton will see work by 60 artists who pursue traditional painting, visual art techniques, sculpture, photography and new media. This year’s Art Fresh Festival is bigger than before and comes with a new layout. New items on show will include impressive structures by Anna Wysocka which, despite being made of welded steel parts, look as delicate as lace. Visitors will also see large photographs by Beata Bajno, who uses an experimental photographic technique.

Children will be delighted to see colorful plush toys designed by Dorota Godlewska, and right next to them Monika Szambelan Althamer will exhibit dolls that she dresses in trendy clothes worn by young people.

The Art Fresh Festival will include visual art workshops and demonstrations for children, teenagers and adults, conducted by visual artist Iwona Cur.
