Ruling party’ support falls to 23pct - poll

Polish ruling party, the liberal Civic Platform (PO), suffered a 4 pps decline in its voter support to 23% in an late January survey by Homo Homini researcher, with backing for its major rival and poll leader, conservative Law and Justice (PiS), edging up 1 ppt to 30%, the survey for daily Rzeczpospolita showed.

Voter support for left-wing party Democratic Left Alliance (SLD) held flat at 14%, according to the poll.

Junior coalition partner Polish People’s Party (PSL) saw its support hold flat at 5% of the electorate, at the threshold required to enter the parliament.

Twoj Ruch (Your Movement), the new incarnation of the leftist-liberal Palikot Movement, edged up by 1 ppt 2%.

The poll was conducted on January 24-25 on a representative sample of 1067 Poles.
