Polish banking sector in for stabilization - Moody's
January 29, 2014
Poland's banking sector will witness a stabilization of its situation in 2014, with profitability and capital adequacy ratios expected to stay at 2013 levels, which should translate into a stabilization of ratings of particular banks, Moody's rating agency said.
"The stable outlook for Poland is due to a combination of improved economic growth expectations plus strong financial fundamentals," Moody's senior analyst Irakli Pipia said during a press conference.
"In general, we expect stable operating conditions to contribute to the stability in standalone ratings, unless specific circumstances prompt rating changes," a presentation released during the conference showed.
