A new show at Warsaw’s Roma Music Theater delivers a high-energy music extravaganza based on highlights from over a dozen hit musicals.

Entitled Ale musicale! (Musicals, Yay!), the show features a selection of songs from the theater’s most popular productions of the past 15 years combined with hits from classic musicals that have never been staged in Poland so far, together with excerpts from current West End and Broadway hits. Ale musicale! treats fans of musicals to all they know and love, from grand arias to romantic duets to scenes performed by the entire cast.

The Roma’s past productions featured in the first part of the show include Cats, Grease and Miss Saigon, in addition to Les Miserables, which had an immensely successful, three-year run in Warsaw. Audiences can also hear Janusz Kruciński sing “Gethsemane” from Jesus Christ Superstar and “Part of Your World” from Little Mermaid performed by Edyta Krzemień.

Ale musicale! revisits one of the theater’s biggest productions ever, Dance of the Vampires, a musical inspired by The Fearless Vampire Killers, a 1960s film directed by Roman Polanski. Then, Jan Bzdawka sings “Le temps des cathedrales” from the musical Notre-Dame de Paris, followed by “Be Italian” from Nine, performed by Marta Wiejak. Audiences can also hear the title song from Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Love Never Dies—sung by Edyta Krzemień.

Ale musicale! also features songs from some of the hottest productions of the day, including Newsies and The Book of Mormon, which are currently the biggest thing on Broadway.
