Grzegorz Jarzyna, one of Poland’s best-known theater directors, has come up with a stage adaptation of John Cassavetes’s script for the 1977 movie Opening Night. Entitled Druga Kobieta (The Other Woman), the play will be staged at TR Warszawa, one of Poland’s most innovative theaters, starting April 12.

Jarzyna, who is the artistic director of TR Warszawa, adapted the original script for the stage. Music for the new production has been composed by Jacek Grudzień, while the sets have been designed by Chasper Bertschinger and costumes by Anna Nykowska. The cast include some of Poland’s finest theater actors, among them Danuta Stenka, Adam Woronowicz and Danuta Szaflarska.
