New Grill, New Flavor
April 30, 2014
Blue Cactus, the well-known Warsaw restaurant, has installed a new oak wood-fired grill that it says is the only one of its kind in Poland.
The Champion Tuff Grill was imported from Nashville, Tennessee, in the United States. The temperature that can be attained using this grill is 1,100 degrees Celsius, which is over twice the maximum of an ordinary gas-fueled grill. The heat, moreover, is maintained for a longer period of time due to cast iron bars. This sort of temperature means the meat or fish retain more of their flavor. The oak wood used as fuel adds its rich aroma into the mix.
The grill is displayed in the main part of the restaurant, meaning guests have the opportunity to observe the chef at work and see the dishes they have ordered being prepared.
Some of the flavor of the dishes is due to the added mixture of Southwest Dry Rub spices and sea salt. The restaurant plans to introduce a range of special dishes from the new grill which will become part of the seasonal menu.
