In a new Warsaw exhibition entitled Nobody Is Afraid to Die, Polish interdisciplinary artist Łukasz Surowiec focuses on alcohol abuse, examining how alcoholics function.

Aiming to get to know marginalized individuals better and explore the problems they face, Surowiec puts the viewer in the midst of their communities—somewhere on the outskirts of humanity.

Surowiec is a sculptor, performance artist and a video artist who creates installation projects in public space. He graduated from the Faculty of Sculpture at the Fine Arts Academy in Cracow and also studied at the Fine Arts Academy in Poznań in 2007-2009 and at the Universität der Künste in Berlin in 2009-2010.
