Chemicals group Grupa Azoty is considering an expansion of its caprolactam processing plant in Tarnow in an investment worth some PLN 300 million, CEO Pawel Jarczewski said on Monday.

"We are working on a project to process the total caprolactam [output] within the group into polyamids and compounds," Jarczewski told PAP Polish news agency, adding that the investment could amount to around PLN 300 million. "This could improve the situation of this part of our business."

The potential investment would be located in the Tarnow special economic zone (SSE) in southern Poland and has a chance of being included in the group's long-term investment plan, on which Grupa Azoty is currently working, the CEO said.
