Poland’s exports hit record high in 2013 - GUS
February 14, 2014
Poland's PLN-denominated exports rose by 5.8% in 2013 to the highest level in the history, PLN 638.6 billion, according to the data of the Central Statistical Office (GUS).
Exporters managed to increase their share on foreign markets thanks to improved ability to compete abroad rather than due to any strong depreciation of the Polish currency or other one-offs, employers lobby Pracodawcy RP told the daily Rzeczpospolita.
Poland's trade deficit reached the lowest level since 2006, PLN 9.6 billion.
