Celebrating Chopin music
February 20, 2014
An eight-day festival dedicated to Frederic Chopin, Poland’s most famous Romantic composer, will be held in Warsaw Feb. 22-March 1.
The concerts will be not just Chopin, and not only classical music. They will also feature dance, theater, singing and poetry inspired by Chopin.
Each day music will be played at three venues: 25 Bracka St. (where arts workshops and performances by young musicians will also be held); 66 Krakowskie Przedmieście St. (featuring piano recitals by outstanding musicians); and 60a Krakowskie Przedmieście St. (lots of jazz and contemporary pieces with Chopin’s music in the background).
