PiS likely to win forthcoming European Parliament elections

Poland's governing party Civic Platform (PO) can count on 19% voter support in the upcoming elections to the European Parliament, while the biggest opposition party Law and Justice (PiS) may receive 29% of the votes in the elections, to be held on May 25, a survey by pollster TNS Polska showed.

The two biggest parties are followed by left-wing Democratic Left Alliance (SLD) with 9% support, junior coalition partner Polaish People’s Party (PSL) with 6% and liberal party Your Movement with 5% support, the survey showed.

The survey was conducted between February 7-13 on a representative sample of 971 adult Poles.

The elections to the European Parliament will be held in Europe between May 22 and 25, and in Poland on May 25.
