International Poster Biennale
August 1, 2014
The best posters admitted to the 24th International Poster Biennale in Warsaw are on show at the Wilanów Poster Museum in Warsaw.
Posters submitted for this year’s biennale, one of the world’s most important competitions for poster designers, were produced in 2012-2013. For the first time in the competition’s history, artists have been able to submit their works online, enabling an international panel of judges to rate the posters during the biennale’s first round.
Posters for the biennale have been submitted by 1,672 designers from around the world—3,814 posters in total from 61 countries, including China, Japan, Iran and Germany. The participants include accomplished artists as well as art school students, as the Warsaw biennale is the world’s only poster competition open to all.
