A cut off of gas supplies by Russia would be more of a problem for the Russian economy than for Poland, deputy PM and Economy Minister Janusz Piechocinski told RMF FM radio on Tuesday.
Piechocinski asked what Russia would do with all that gas and what this would mean for the Russian economy if it turned off the gas taps.
Such step would be far more problematic for the Russian economy than for Poland according Piechocinski.
"At the moment there is no threat to supplies going through Ukraine or Russia. I will not reveal what action we have taken for rainy days." said Piechocinski but added that last week he took steps to increase material reserves in the Polish economy.
