Polish president Bronislaw Komorowski Wednesday met with Turkish President Abdullah Gull in Ankara in order to convince Turkey for engagement in diplomatic efforts to defend the territorial integrity of Ukraine.
"We believe that Crimea should stay in Ukrainian territory," Komorowski said at a joint press conference with his Turkish counterpart, adding that Turkey and Poland are in agreement concerning Ukraine and Crimea.
President Komorowski also said the two countries want to strengthen business ties. He will attend a business forum on Thursday set to discuss ways to develop trade between Poland and Turkey.
The Polish President visit in Turkey marks the 600 year anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
