Oil & gas exploration firm San Leon Energy enjoyed proven tight/shale oil flow potential during fracs at is Rogity-1 well in northern Poland and is planning a second vertical well Rogity-2, the company said on its website.

San Leon has completed a "three stage frac and testing program" at Rogity-1 well on the Braniewo S concession as part of the farm-out agreement with Wisent Oil & Gas, recovering mobile oil from the shales and Cambrian sandstones, the statement read.

"High quality oil was recovered from Silurian/Ordovician shales after frac", while "Cambrian sandstones were proven to be a viable oil reservoir", according to the statement.

The partners now regard Braniewo S "as having proven oil flow potential from both its Cambrian sandstone and from its overlying shale" and are working on selecting the best option for the second vertical well.
