A new comedy at Warsaw’s Capitol Theater shows viewers how a klutz of a husband can turn into a passionate lover, how an affected, rich sister can be impressed, and how a toilet brush with the royal couple’s image on it can help a beautiful 20-year-old take her own life.

The latest play opening at the Capitol Theater is When the Cat’s Away, a comedy of errors written by Johnnie Mortimer and Brian Cooke and directed by Andrzej Rozhin. The “mice” in the play are George and Humphrey, two elderly man with many years of marriage behind them. George and Humphrey could not be more different from each other. George is a resigned loser, while Humphrey is a playboy who lives life to the fullest. While their wives are away in France, the two decide to join forces and invite two young ladies to keep them company. What follows is a hilarious British sex farce with a fast-paced plot and several twists.

The Warsaw production stars popular Polish actors Katarzyna Skrzynecka, Anna Gornostaj, Piotr Cyrwus and Wojciech Wysocki.
