L for Love
Charismatic British fragrance designer Clive Christian, whose Imperial Majesty perfume is the most expensive in the world ($4,350 an ounce), has launched a new fragrance called L. Available in versions for men and women, the new fragrance is part of his Private Collection, a line that Christian started in 2010 with C, which refers to his surname. This highly personal fragrance is also Christian’s favorite. C was followed two years later by V, which Christian designed especially for his eldest daughter, Victoria.

L for Women is a feminine composition with a classic combination of Damascus rose and jasmine in the heart note. Spiced up with modern hints of pink, black and white pepper, it gets a fruity green kick in the top note. Vanilla and cedar in the base note give a delicate, sweet touch to the fragrance, while patchouli, vetiver and musk enhance it with a surprising, woody depth.

L for Men is a woody-spicy fragrance that opens with a bright, if slightly bitter grapefruit note that makes way for the smoky-green aroma of vetiver, forming a beautiful harmony with the rich aroma of atlas cedar and balsam fir. Musk gives extra sensuality and spice to the mix in an inventive combination with agarwood, rose and orange tree.

Powered by the Sun
The Tissot T-Touch Solar is the world’s first solar energy-powered watch with a touch-sensitive face. A solar panel underneath the dial charges the battery, eliminating the need for battery replacement and making sure the watch is always good to go. To get the battery fully charged, the watch only needs 15 minutes of exposure to direct sunlight or around 30 minutes of light on cloudy days and inside buildings, as it also runs on light from fluorescent lamps. When the battery is full, it has enough power to last in dim lighting conditions for a whole year.

The Tissot T-Touch Solar is fitted with a number of instant, touch-activated features such as a perpetual calendar with weekday and week number indicators to help users navigate through their busy schedules. There are also two alarms, one for weekdays and one weekends, two time-zone settings for use on a well-deserved vacation, a barometer, an altimeter, a stop watch with lap and split times and a logbook, a compass, a timer and a regatta timer. The face of the watch is illuminated and the hands glow after exposure to sunlight.

Forever Young
Standard surgical facelifts have been somewhat out of fashion since the advent of rejuvenating treatment using absorbable First Lift threads made of polydioxanone (PDO). The newest type of threads, First Lift Barb 4D, come with specially designed microscopic hooks that unlike in previous types are densely packed around the threads. Older types had hooks only on one side of the thread, while in First Lift Barb 4D, the hooks extend in two directions, or four dimensions so to speak, hence the name. The new threads are also much thicker than “traditional” PDO threads in order to maximize the lift effect.

First Lift Barb 4D threads are fast, safe and easy to use. They do not require any incisions in the skin. Once implanted, the hooks in the threads open and pull sagging tissues up. In Poland, First Lift PDO threads are available from the Croma-Pharma company.
