Three skating rinks, slides for kids and other winter attractions will be available at Warsaw’s National Stadium from mid-November.

When the largest skating rink in Poland opened at the stadium last winter, it became an instant success that went on to draw 105,000 people over 47 winter days. This year, on an area of almost 5,000 square meters, the National Stadium will offer visitors a host of attractions such as dancing on ice, skating lessons and activities for children. Tomasz Półgrabski, head of the PL.2012+ company that operates the National Stadium, said that after last year’s success it was a natural choice to continue the project this year. “There is clearly a positive trend in terms of people increasingly pursuing active forms of recreation,” Półgrabski added. “We want to meet these needs in an effective manner.”

The Winter at the National Stadium project will continue until March 1.
