Poland's new car registrations soar in March
April 4, 2014
Poland's new passenger car and van registrations jumped in March by 39.2% year on year to 39,861 vehicles, the best result since December 2010, a report by market researcher Samar showed.
Month-on-month, registrations increased by 11.1%.
The spike in March and in the entire Q1 was caused by promotions of 2013 models as well as increased demand for passenger cars adjusted for cargo transport ahead of implementation of new VAT regulations, Samar said.
YTD registrations measured 108,073 vehicles, up by 26.5% y/y.
