Two shows featuring ice skating champions will take place in February at Warsaw’s National Stadium, which has been turned into a huge rink for the winter.

The first show, entitled XtremeIce, will be held Feb. 7 and, according to the organizers, audiences are in for breathtaking tricks and spectacular skating routines. The extravaganza will be performed by experts in extreme ice skating who will demonstrate stunts such as somersaults and other complicated maneuvers. The two-hour show comes with impressive lighting effects and pyrotechnics.

Three weeks later, Feb. 28, the National Stadium will host the first Kings on Ice show in Poland. The stars visiting Warsaw will include world champions and Olympic medalists, such as figure skating great Evgeni Plushenko from Russia, Stephane Lambiel, Irina Slutskaya and many others. Kings on Ice is a spectacular combination of sports, entertainment, traditional figure skating and acrobatics on ice. The show will be performed to music played live by Emmy Award winner Edvin Marton. A violin virtuoso, Marton will be playing one of the world’s most coveted musical instruments, a 300-year-old Stradivarius.
