Chekhov as a Starting Point

The Collegium Nobilium Theater, which is run by the National Academy of Dramatic Art in Warsaw, is staging a play that takes Anton Chekhov’s The Seagull as its starting point.

Entitled Six Portraits with a Seagull in the Background, the new play has been written and directed by Andrzej Domagalik. The sets and costumes were designed by Jagna Janicka. The music for the show was written by Mateusz Dębski. The cast are students of the National Academy of Dramatic Art.
