Russia bans Polish Mlekovita's dairy products
April 9, 2014
Russia's federal veterinary service has suspended Russian imports of milk and dairy products from Mlekovita dairy cooperative in Wysokie Mazowieckie, eastern Poland, as of April 17, PAP Polish news agency reported on Tuesday.
The reason given for the ban is the discovery of bacteria from the Enterobacteriaceae group during laboratory tests on the Polish company's products.
Mlekovita President Dariusz Sapinski speaking to PAP denied that such bacteria could be found in the cooperative's products.
