At the end of last year Lufthansa launched its new Premium Economy Class—offering a completely new travel experience between Business Class and Economy Class on long-haul flights. Whether you’re traveling for business or pleasure, you will enjoy more personal space, more service and more extras.

Lufthansa Premium Economy Class offers more comfortable seats. Depending on the aircraft type, these are up to 3 cm wider and provide greater privacy as well as around 10 cm more room at the side.

More personal space
As a result, passengers have around one-and-a-half times as much room as in Economy Class. The headrests can be set to the exact height desired and folded at the sides for added comfort and support.

Two pieces of luggage
With a baggage allowance of two items weighing up to 23 kg each, passengers can take twice as much free luggage with them as in Economy Class. For an extra 25 euros, passengers can also enjoy the comfort of Lufthansa Business Lounges before departure.

Additional service and entertainment
An enhanced service awaits Premium Economy passengers on board: they are greeted with a welcome drink and will find their own water bottle as well as a high-quality amenity kit with practical travel accessories at their seat. Meals are served on porcelain tableware. Passengers can navigate the extensive in-flight entertainment program using their own touchscreen monitor on the seat in front of them.

Much more comfort at an attractive price
The new seats will gradually be fitted on the entire Lufthansa long-haul fleet by the end of this year. This will enable the carrier to meet the requirements of passengers who travel Economy Class, but are looking for more comfort. Following the introduction of its new full-flat Business Class, Lufthansa has created a much wider gap between Economy and Business Class. As a result, there is now room for its new Premium Economy Class, which offers considerably more space and comfort as well as many additional product features at attractive prices.
