Haute Couture From Plich

Famous Polish fashion designer Plich has unveiled his first haute couture collection.

For the spring-summer season, Plich has come up with feminine shapes with cuts that suggest innocence by not revealing too much flesh. Featuring intense colors and expressive patterns, the new collection abounds in sequins, georgette, muslin, velour, taffeta and handmade embroidery. The clothes come with quilted purses in a rich variety of colors.

Plich says that the spring-summer 2015 collection is about “celebrating the moment and expressing my soul.”

“All these colorful sequins and gold rhombuses were hand-sewn onto the clothes over a very long time,” says Plich. He adds, “This is how I express myself and demonstrate what I can do as a designer. Importantly, these are not commercial designs.”

Plich also designs clothes for men. His male haute couture offerings are classic with a touch of the wild. In a daring move, Plich’s new jackets have lapels but no collars. The jackets are intended to be worn with rolled-up sleeves and cufflinks prominently in sight. As for pants, creases are optional. The seams look a little ad hoc, but this is intentional and nothing comes undone, of course, as these are high quality clothes.

“This is all about proportions, quality fabrics, a good fit and good sewing craftsmanship,” says Plich.
