Tauron inks PLN 4.4bn deal for Jaworzno plant with Rafako-led consortium
April 18, 2014
Power group Tauron signed its long-awaited PLN 4.4 billion contract with the consortium of engineering firm Rafako and builder Mostostal Warszawa for the construction of a 910 MW power block in Tauron's Jaworzno power plant, Tauron said on Thursday.
Siemens is on board as a sub-contractor, sides said.
The deadline for signing the contract has been prolonged several times as the winning consortium hasn't secured the performance bond.
The consortium secured guarantees for the work from three state-controlled financial institutions: insurer PZU, bank PKO BP and state development bank BGK, Rafako said in a separate filing.
Sides have 59 months to complete works, the filing said.
