Banking services getting more expensive in Poland
April 23, 2014
Polish banks raised fees en masse during the second half of 2013 as a response to a reduction in payment card fees, the daily Dziennik Gazeta Prawna reports.
The average monthly fee on holding an account has risen 6.8% to PLN 4.89 per month. The largest gain came on banking services, including a 37% rise in fees for establishing automated payments, a 25% increase in fees for cash machine withdrawals from non-network ATMs and a 14% increase for transfers made from branch locations.
